Its flavor is not dominated by any one herb from the original recipe and yet provides a delightful favor with undertones of fresh basil rolling on your tongue. It has been admired by and used for over 25 years by families and chefs alike in many recipes which are included on this website. Basilicata has been described by chefs and customers alike as a "sauce good enough to drink" due to its light, creamy garden-green, fresh and versatile flavor. The recipe, like all of our sauces, has been kept true to form and is all-natural with no artificial ingredients or additives. Basilicata Sweet and Sour Pesto Italian Salad Dressing, Sauce & Marinade
Our Roasted Pesto flavor reformulates Basilicata original to more of a sour and sweet sauce with emphasis on more sour and freshness like biting a basil leaf picked from the garden. If you are looking for a sauce with more basil bite than our original you have found it. Roasted Pesto sauce, unlike pesto contains no nuts or cheese but provides an all-natural basil flavor that enhances recipes like pasta salad, aioli, Caprese (tomato, buffalo mozzarella basil leaf) salad, any fresh field greens salad and is a great marinade for seafood, pork, poultry or lamb.

Initial response as we introduced Mango Pepe Verde been overwhelming on how special its flavor is and how they have never tasted anything like it before. Basilicata Sweet and Sour Cumin Italian Salad Dressing, Sauce & Marinade
Our Cumino sauce takes our Basilicata original to a whole new level. We added ground cumin seed to Basilicata to create a southwest flavor that unites sweet and sour with Cumin and to create a mouth-pleasing hint of cumin. Versatility for uses of this flavor ranges from marinating chicken breast tenders for fajitas, marinating pork loins for grilling or roasting, a black bean salad sauce, seasoning for our cheese spread recipe or southwestern salad with fresh greens, sharp Colby cheese, white corn, red peppers black beans and topped with Cumino and tortilla chips. Customers who like southwestern flavors and who have sampled the Cumino essence gave us two thumbs up and a WOW on its balanced and versatile flavoring.
